The goal is simple. Facebook wants communities to share knowledge. People gain useful abilities. Communities become stronger. This builds on local groups already active on Facebook. Now sharing skills is easier.
Mark Zuckerberg commented on the launch. “Everyone knows something useful,” he said. “Someone else nearby needs that knowledge. Facebook Skills makes the connection. It helps people learn. It helps people teach. This strengthens neighborhoods.”
Safety features are included. User profiles show ratings and reviews. People communicate through Facebook Messenger. Meeting details stay within the platform. Payment for sessions uses Facebook Pay. This keeps transactions secure.
